Role introduction

 

We are looking for a mid-level D365 F&O Technical Consultant to work on product/platform development. This role focuses on building scalable, reusable, and upgrade-safe solutions that can be deployed across multiple customers or business units. You will contribute to the design and development of product features, frameworks, and integrations within the D365 F&O ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Assist in designing and developing features, modules, and reusable components on the D365 F&O platform using X++, Azure services, and Microsoft stack.
•  Collaborate with product managers and senior developers to understand product requirements and contribute to technical solutioning.
•  Build and enhance data entities, reports, business logic, and user interface components.
•  Contribute to the creation of product APIs and integrations using OData, REST, or Azure Logic Apps.
•  Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality, reliable code.
•  Maintain technical documentation for developed features.
•  Stay up to date with D365 F&O updates, Microsoft roadmap, and apply relevant features to enhance product functionality.
•  Works independently as well as in a team environment.
•  Works toward learning new modules / technologies as per the project requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:
•  4-7 years of experience working with D365 F&O, Dynamics AX, or relevant ERP product development.
•  Solid understanding of object-oriented programming; experience with X++, C#, or similar languages.
•  Familiarity with database concepts, SQL, and basic reporting tools.
•  Interest in building scalable, reusable product features rather than project-specific customizations.
•  Strong analytical thinking and willingness to work across both frontend and backend components.
•  Good communication and documentation skills.
•  Ability to work in an agile, collaborative team environment.
