As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced D365 F&O Solution Architect to play a key role in shaping and delivering complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions for our customers. This is a senior role where you will work closely with clients, delivery teams and commercial stakeholders to design scalable, integrated solutions that drive real business value.

Role Overview

As a D365 F&SCM Solution Architect at HSO, you will design and deliver scalable Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions that help clients transform their business operations.

You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, shape solution architecture, and ensure D365 F&SCM solutions align with business objectives, integration needs and wider technology landscapes. This will include working across D365 F&SCM, Power Platform, data, integrations and emerging Microsoft technologies, including Copilot and AI-enabled capabilities.

You will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, from pre-sales and solution shaping through to delivery, governance and post go-live support. You will also contribute to business development activity, provide architectural leadership, and mentor consultants and architects across the team.

Core Requirements

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Define and communicate solution roadmaps that align with customer business objectives.

  • Design D365 F&SCM architectures that balance scalability, performance, security, usability and cost.

  • Lead solution design across D365 F&SCM, Power Platform, data, integrations and wider Microsoft technologies.

  • Provide thought leadership on emerging Microsoft capabilities, including Copilot, AI-assisted processes and intelligent automation.

  • Coordinate multiple project teams to successfully design, build, implement and integrate D365 F&SCM solutions.

  • Ensure solutions follow architectural principles, governance standards and delivery best practice.

Personal & Corporate Contributions

  • Own a functional domain, such as Supply Chain Management, within the local region, staying current with Microsoft and market developments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.

  • Support the development of reusable assets, accelerators and delivery approaches that improve consistency, quality and efficiency.

  • Champion continuous improvement in HSO project methodologies, delivery processes and solution governance.

  • Share expertise through coaching, training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

People & Culture Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and help foster a positive, high-performing team culture.

  • Coach and mentor consultants and architects, helping them develop their solution capability and consulting skills.

  • Support the development of team capability in AI-assisted delivery, including the practical use of Microsoft Copilot and automation tools.

  • Guide and support diverse teams to achieve goals and deliver successful outcomes for HSO and our customers.

  • Nurture career development through regular, targeted coaching and feedback.

Commercial & Business Acumen

  • Build strong relationships with customer decision-makers, influencers and key users.

  • Support business development activity through solution presentations, workshops and technical input into proposals.

  • Identify opportunities to deliver additional value through D365, Power Platform, data, integration and AI-enabled solutions.

  • Support HSO’s growth by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

  • Contribute to project estimates, technical scoping and solution planning activity.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven experience leading large enterprise D365 F&SCM implementations in a senior solution architecture role.

  • Experience delivering multiple successful end-to-end D365 F&SCM implementations, from pre-sales through to post go-live.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide functional consultants, solution architects and project teams.

  • Experience in software implementation within industries such as Retail, Rental, Manufacturing, Professional Services, Financial Services, Government, Non-Profit or Energy.

  • Strong adherence to architectural processes and principles for solution design and governance.

  • Expert knowledge of industry-standard methodologies, tools and best practice.

  • Proficient in Azure DevOps for project delivery.

  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile delivery approaches.

  • Practical application of the Success by Design framework.

  • Strong understanding of cross-functional business processes and the ability to design solutions aligned to core business objectives.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies and the ability to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Ability to operate, influence and engage at senior stakeholder and board level.

  • Excellent presentation, demonstration and communication skills.

  • Exposure to AI-enabled solutions, such as Microsoft Copilot, intelligent automation or AI-assisted business processes, would be advantageous.

Desirable

  • MB-700 certification.

  • Experience in pre-sales engagement through to project mobilisation and delivery.

  • Experience developing reusable solution assets, accelerators or delivery frameworks.

In addition to your experience successfully implementing D365 solutions, you will have the personality, ambition and commercial awareness to evolve into a senior member of the HSO team, with a high level of responsibility for the delivery of successful client implementations.
