Role introduction

At HSO GS, we are looking for a Functional Consultant specializing in implementing the Finance modules of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. 

In this role, you will be involved in the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions, working closely with clients to understand their business processes, gather and analyze requirements, configure the system, support solution design, and ensure successful project delivery. 

You will play an important role throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery and design to configuration, testing, UAT, go-live, and hypercare. Working alongside project teams, technical consultants, developers, and other functional consultants, you will help deliver finance solutions that align with client needs and support their digital transformation journey. 

As this role is closely connected to international client projects, frequent travel to the UK will be required, particularly during key project phases such as workshops, design sessions, testing, go-live, and client-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Participate in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O implementation projects, with a focus on Finance modules. 
  • Work with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into functional solutions. 
  • Support workshops, discovery sessions, and process analysis activities. 
  • Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Finance modules in line with business requirements and best practices. 
  • Prepare and maintain functional documentation, including Functional Design Documents and configuration documentation. 
  • Collaborate with technical consultants and developers to support customizations, integrations, and solution design. 
  • Conduct functional testing, support system validation, and ensure the solution meets agreed requirements. 
  • Support clients during UAT, go-live preparation, and hypercare phases. 
  • Participate in client-facing activities, including on-site workshops and project sessions in the UK. 
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend practical solutions. 
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery of implementation milestones. 

 

Key Requirements 

  • Experience with implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or Dynamics AX. 
  • Strong functional knowledge of Finance modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, budgeting, and related finance processes. 
  • Experience with gathering business requirements, system configuration, testing, and supporting end-to-end ERP implementations. 
  • Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into functional system requirements. 
  • Experience preparing functional documentation and supporting project delivery activities. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently within a project environment. 
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to work effectively with international and multicultural teams. 
  • Availability and willingness to travel frequently to the UK for client workshops, project activities, and on-site delivery when required. 
  • Certification: MB-310 – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is considered a plus.
