Microsoft D365 Lead Finance Consultant - Managed Services
As a D365 F&O Lead Finance Consultant you can expect to… Deliver high‑value functional and application support that helps clients maximize their investment in D365 F&O. Lead the resolution of complex functional issues by diagnosing root causes, replicating scenarios, and recommending sustainable solutions. Configure and enhance D365 F&O Finance modules to support evolving business processes. Partner closely with clients to understand business needs, identify improvements, and provide best‑practice recommendations. Manage and prioritize tickets, enhancements, and mini‑projects with minimal supervision. Develop functional requirement documentation and design specifications for enhancements. Perform and support unit testing, regression testing, and deployment activities for upgrades and solution changes. Collaborate with technical teams, solution architects, and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate design and delivery. Proactively monitor environments and assess opportunities for process efficiency, automation, and optimization. Guide clients through feature releases, hotfixes, and platform updates as part of ongoing lifecycle management. Provide end-user support and training to ensure adoption and correct use of the solution. Maintain strong client relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and superior service. Participate in after‑hours or on‑call rotations as needed to support critical client needs. Sound interesting? If so, you’ll have… Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred. 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft D365 F&O/Dynamics AX Finance Consultant. Hands-on experience supporting Finance modules including: General Ledger, AR, AP, Cash & Bank Management, Project Accounting, and reporting tools (Management Reporter/FRx). Experience working in a Managed Services, support, or application maintenance environment preferred. Deep knowledge of D365 F&O financial functionality and the ability to map solutions to business needs. Strong ability to analyze issues, perform root-cause analysis, and propose long-term solutions. Expertise in configuring and customizing D365 Finance functionality. Experience managing testing cycles, deployment processes, and post-deployment validation. Microsoft D365 F&O Financials certifications. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
