The results of Make UK Q1 Manufacturing Outlook Report

We talk to the Senior Economist, Fhaheen Khan of Make UK, previously known as the Engineering Employer’s Federation, representing manufacturers in the United Kingdom, about the Q1 2023 Manufacturing Outlook report results.

This report has been produced in partnership with BDO and finds that manufacturers have unexpectantly improved on their performance compared to the previous quarter following months of slowing activity. There is much to be enthusiastic about with green shoots of growth beginning to take shape. But caution is now an ingrained feature in the mindsets of decision-makers, as well as for forecasters who are more likely to advise more cautiously in the future.
