Public Sector industry expert, Russ Charlesworth, joins HSO

12 Dec, 2022

HSO is delighted to announce that Russ Charlesworth has joined as the new Public Sector Business Development Director.

Joining from Socitm Advisory, and with over 25 years of technology and Public Sector experience, Russ will use his knowledge to help Public Sector organisations find ways to solve their biggest challenges. Challenges such as coping with the Cost-of-Living crisis, making sense of the Net Zero agenda, overcoming the workforce skills shortage, transitioning to digital customer service models, adopting hybrid working, and so on.

With demand for services increasing, and real income moving the opposite way, Public Sector organisations are more stretched than ever. Russ will advise organisations on how to use Microsoft technology to meet public service needs within the confines of their budgetary commitments. Using low-cost, quick to deliver solutions to extract more value from existing technology.

In support of those looking to digitally transform, HSO’s Public Sector team identifies the best way to install technology solutions that connect public services, via the cloud, whilst delivering them in a cost efficient and scalable way.

An effective and efficient Public Sector is a crucial part of every open and progressive society.

"If it can be made to work well, we can tackle problems such as social inequality, regional variation in access to services, digital inclusion, and so on. And I believe HSO, together with Microsoft, is best placed to help achieve this ambition.” - HSO Public Sector Lead, Russ Charlesworth

“Russ brings a unique blend of experience to the burgeoning HSO Public Sector team. Given the success Russ has shown in helping organisations transition to new ways of working - within the confines of existing people, technology, and budget - he has the knowledge needed to enable Public Sector organisations to deliver service excellence.”
