Role Overview

To support this ambition, HSO is creating a new role of AI Training & Capability Manager. This position will play a pivotal role in developing organisational capability in Agentic AI, embedding best practice, and ensuring our colleagues and customers benefit from confident, efficient, and responsible use of AI technologies.

Reporting directly to the Group Head of Learning & Development, the role will form a core part of HSO Academy and will lead the design, implementation, and governance of AI Agentic learning and capability pathways across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Strategy & Capability Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain role-specific AI Agentic learning pathways using Microsoft Learn, Copilot learning resources, and other high-quality digital platforms.
  • Establish a structured AI competency framework aligned to HSO roles, career paths, and business priorities.
  • Define standards for AI-related skills, certifications, and professional development.

Learning Design & Delivery

  • Design and deliver engaging remote, blended, and classroom-based AI Agentic learning solutions.
  • Create and curate learning content including workshops, learning journeys, assessments, and practical labs.
  • Support the development of AI champions, super-users, and subject matter experts across regions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with regional HR and Learning & Development leads to identify AI skills gaps and capability requirements.
  • Work closely with business leaders, delivery teams, and technical specialists to ensure learning is aligned with operational needs.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft and external partners to leverage emerging learning resources and best practices.

Data, Reporting & Governance

  • Analyse and report on AI Agentic learning activity, certifications, and qualifications by region and business unit.
  • Monitor adoption, proficiency, and capability maturity across the organisation.
  • Provide regular insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Support governance frameworks for ethical, responsible, and compliant use of AI.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Track developments in Agentic AI, Copilot, automation, and intelligent agents.
  • Continuously evolve learning pathways to reflect emerging technologies and business use cases.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and innovation.

  • Establishment of a scalable, global AI Agentic learning framework.
  • Increased organisational confidence and productivity through AI adoption.
  • Improved certification and qualification attainment in AI-related disciplines.
  • Demonstrable reduction in AI capability gaps.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Microsoft Copilot ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Learn, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure AI, and related technologies.
  • Learning design and instructional design expertise.
  • Experience delivering virtual and in-person training at scale.
  • Data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms experience.

Essential

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, capability management, or workforce transformation.
  • Demonstrated involvement in AI, digital transformation, or emerging technology programmes.
  • Experience designing enterprise-wide learning pathways.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-region organisation.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles.

Desirable

  • Experience within Microsoft partner ecosystems.
  • Background in consulting, professional services, or technology delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting certification programmes (Microsoft, AI, Cloud, Data, etc.).
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, data ethics, and governance frameworks.
  • Change management or organisational development experience.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Learning & Development, Technology, Business, or related field.
  • Relevant professional development in AI, digital learning, or instructional design.

Desirable

  • Microsoft certifications (AI, Power Platform, Azure, Dynamics, or Copilot-related).
  • Learning & Development professional accreditation (e.g., CIPD, ATD, or equivalent).
  • AI, Data, or Digital Transformation certifications.
