Windows Server 2012 or 2012 R2 has reached the end of their Microsoft support lifecycle.

This can lead to the potential for compliance gaps for workloads that still rely on these versions and create missed opportunities to apply innovation to business-critical workloads.

To protect your data and applications we advise you to upgrade to current versions. This will give you advanced multi-layer security, improved performance and enhancements to modernise applications with containers.

What if I can't meet the deadline?

If you can't upgrade by the deadline you do have an option to help protect applications and data during the upgrade transition.

You can migrate your workloads to Azure and get free Extended Security Updates for three more years, only in Azure. If you are running these versions of Windows Server on-premises, you will have the option to purchase Extended Security Updates.
