With a passion to help people grow, Georgiana Stuparu builds future leaders at HSO International
Meet Georgiana Stuparu!

“I enjoy working in an environment where we are encouraged to collaborate, learn, and take the initiative. It has changed me on both professional and personal level.”
Meet Georgiana
If you have seen (or googled) the breathtaking beauty of the Romanian countryside, you might wonder why Georgiana ever left. After all, she succeeded in building a good life for herself in Bucharest, pivoting from finance into consulting and overseeing the implementation of Microsoft-based Enterprise Resource Management projects. But Georgiana was drawn by the challenge of tackling more complex projects, in an environment where she could connect with people of different cultures.
However, this is not your run-of-the-mill story of someone looking for better opportunities abroad. Georgiana doesn’t just have inner drive, but an aura and gravitational pull that draws the best out of those around her. Georgiana’s natural people skills and ambition have propelled her to become a Lead Consultant and Dynamics 365 Team Lead at HSO International. In this dual-hatted role, she takes point on implementing projects for customers worldwide, while internally providing support and guidance to her team, whether that’s a junior member or an experienced consultant.
We sat down with Georgiana, in what felt less like an interview and more like a chat with a friend, to hear her story and take advice for those looking for a challenging but rewarding career.
Joining the HSO Family
Georgiana will tell you that she landed in HSO out of pure coincidence, but we don’t buy that for a second. She is the epitome of a connector: A business-savvy strategist who can swiftly deliver not just for her clients, but for her entire team.
“I was on maternity leave when I had the first chat with a manager, and I realized HSO is a place where people matter,” Georgiana said. “Throughout the interview process I met people from different cultural backgrounds, but more importantly, it was clear that they share strong values and a commitment to each other.”
Over the years, Georgiana has worked on a multitude of projects around the world. She thrives on forging a strong connection with clients and striving to understand their business processes as if they were her own. “I love working together to provide a reliable system, optimize results and find solutions to problems,” she shared. “It is pure joy when we go live and see the results of our work.”
One of Georgiana’s projects went live recently, and she spoke with pride about how its success in launching with no major system issues was due to a great common effort. “It was a complex project, with multiple integrations and a large team,” she said. “And yet, everyone was aware of their responsibility to keep the project moving forward.” It’s precisely this commitment to teamwork and accountability that she credits as the keystone of HSO’s world-class business solutions.
Georgiana still gets to do rewarding work directly with clients, but in her newest role she has stepped up to lead the teams that make it all possible.

Taking Charge and Giving Back
With a passion to help people grow into the best version of themselves, it was not long before Georgiana was managing her own team. “I started overseeing teams of 3 to 5 people, and eventually grew into my current role managing a team of 15,” she said. In this role, she makes time to mentor her teammates, helping them succeed in their current roles and work towards their career goals.
After several years building relationships and getting established in the company, Georgiana was called to spend more time back home, so she relocated to Romania to be closer to family. HSO allowed her not just to continue tackling tough client issues and leading teams, but to keep growing with the company as well.
“There are of course ebbs and flows of work, but helping your team find a good work-life balance is baked into the management culture," Georgiana added. “Sometimes I have to travel to our central office in Amsterdam or to meet with clients, but there is a lot of flexibility.”
“I enjoy working in a company where we are encouraged to collaborate, learn, and take the initiative. It has changed me on a professional and personal level.”

The World is Your Playground
Georgiana shares some key qualities with other HSO employees, and these are the backbone of HSO's success. “Curiosity and reliability are very important,” she said. “I enjoy working in a company where we are encouraged to collaborate, learn, and take the initiative. It has changed me on a professional and personal level.”
For young professionals looking for a fulfilling career with an international flavor, Georgiana recommends getting out of your comfort zone. “If you are curious about a career, just try it on for size,” Georgiana advised, “And if you’re looking for a challenge with a big return on investment, a place like HSO may be perfect for you.”
Georgiana is laser focused on the task at hand, but she has not lost sight of her ambitions. “I’d love to grow my team and work on increasingly complex projects,” she said. “Consulting is always changing, and I’m ready to adapt to the next challenge.”
One thing that will never change is the value of connecting with people, and that is second nature for Georgiana. We can't wait to find out what the future has in store for her.
