From Consultant to Project Manager

Project Manager

"After 11 years at HSO, it still feels great to see our customers working successfully with our systems and to see how happy our solutions have made them."

Varied technical expertise gained

I applied to HSO in the traditional way. I saw the job at one day. I think it was via the job portal at the University of Stuttgart. The job appealed to me tremendously, as I was looking for a new role as an IT consultant. So I applied, and the hiring process was relatively fast.

I‘ve been with HSO for almost 11 years now. Initially, I joined HSO as a consultant, and I worked in that position for many years, in various technical areas. I also climbed the traditional consultant career ladder. Almost two years ago, I decided to join the project management team, and I‘ve been a project manager since then.

I love the great collaboration we have here at HSO, and everyone’s helpfulness. The flat hierarchies and the resulting short decision-making paths are also very nice.

Working across teams

Basically, I’m on two different teams. On the one hand, HSO has an organizational team that all project managers are part of. When it comes to the projects we work on, we have a different team, an interdisciplinary one. As a project manager, I‘m responsible for a project team of consultants, developers, and lead architects.
