The firm’s attorneys have played leadership roles in some of the most significant cases ever to go through U.S. courts, including asbestos and mesothelioma victims, the historic litigation against the tobacco industry, and the representation of the 9/11 families in their groundbreaking lawsuit against terrorist financiers.

Challenge

The firm relied on a legacy, heavily customized case and matter management system which was unable to meet their needs and was no longer supported. Recognizing the need for a modern and sustainable solution, they sought to replace it. However, a crucial requirement was to replicate the vital functionality they had come to depend upon in the old system along with adding marketing and business development tracking.

Case & Matter Intake: Automates lead capture and qualification, with secure storage, version control, advanced search, HIPAA compliance, and case history tracking.

Conflict Searching: Real-time checks and advanced search detect and manage duplicates, providing alerts for manual review and 360° views of plaintiffs.

Matter Information Tracking: Unique case identifiers for tracking, with task management, analytics, alerts, AI, team communication, client updates, time logging, and expense management.

Document Management: Supports 200+ SharePoint sites, using AI for document tagging, enterprise search, and auto-classification of 80 TB of documents.

Analytics: More than 30 million records were migrated to the Dataverse, which Power BI and Canvas apps use to provide actionable insights.

A Center of Excellence (COE) was also established to monitor the environments and topography.
