Critical Migration to Nepean Dynamics: Maintaining Sales and Customer Management

The existing CRM 2013 faced the challenge of approaching end-of-life support by Microsoft in January 2024. Nepean Conveyors needed a seamless migration to a new Model Driven Application called “Nepean Dynamics” while ensuring the continuation of their sales and business development processes. The goal involved maintaining customer information, tracking customer emails in the system, opportunity lifecycle management and reporting of opportunity data through Dashboards & Charts.

Foundational Phase: Migrating to Dynamics 365 with HSO’s Expertise

HSO partnered with Nepean Conveyors for a phased implementation. Phase 1 focused on foundational aspects, including setting up cloud environments, replicating existing sales functionalities on Dynamics CRM 2013 with some improvements, and migrating critical data after extraction and transformation from CRM 2013.

The scope encompassed customer data capture, Opportunity lifecycle progression, Opportunity Milestone generation automation, analytics and reporting through Interactive Dashboards and Power BI reporting, and seamless integration with Dynamics 365 for Outlook. HSO emphasized 'shoulder-to-shoulder' collaboration, utilizing 'out-of-the-box' functionalities to align with Nepean Conveyors' objectives.

Outcome: Robust Transition to Dynamics 365

The successful implementation of Phase 1 not only addressed the immediate need to decommission CRM 2013 but also laid the groundwork for future enhancements. Nepean Conveyors seamlessly managed customer information, tracked opportunities, and utilized advanced analytics in Dynamics 365. The transition ensured compliance with the latest Microsoft technologies, providing a robust foundation for the forthcoming Phase 2 implementation focused on further automation and advanced reporting and also maximizing the capabilities of Dynamics 365 Sales for future enhancements.
