For 20 years, HSO has been working with non-profits, supporting them with Microsoft technology including Microsoft Dynamics 365. So we’ve been thrilled that Microsoft has shown their commitment to the nonprofit sector through their Tech for Social Impact group and last year’s launch of the Dynamics 365 Nonprofit Accelerator.

A suite of solutions for fundraising and operations. the Nonprofit Accelerator was designed to help address the common issues faced by nonprofit organizations, including constituent management, fundraising, awards, program delivery, and impact tracking, but cannot do as well as they could because of tight budgets, which keep them from accessing the technology they need to operate more efficiently while doing more to pursue their mission.

In the previous release wave, the Accelerator included more functionality to manage program delivery, beneficiary management, fundraising, volunteer management, and finance and operations. It also included standards like the global International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In December 2020, Microsoft released features focused on assessment management, volunteer management, and frontline humanitarian logistics.

Notable points

With the 2021 Wave 1 release, Microsoft has continued to expand capabilities for back-office and frontline workers and volunteers to be able to measures impact and build transparency between organizations and their funders. Here are a few compelling reasons to take a closer look at the Accelerator:
  • 1

Speed up the processes around donation management for gift processors and business analysts. This includes faster gift entry, data imports, and batch processing. Improve prospect management workflows so fundraisers can attract more donors.

  • 2

    Nonprofit Guided Learning and Support

Learn about features and functionality when you need the knowledge most, reducing the time and effort to search help resources, file support cases, and more, including using applications with greater ease and troubleshooting errors on your own, leading to less down time and quicker resolution of issues.

  • 3

    Visual Relationship Indicators

Know whether an individual is a major donor, recurring donor, board member, beneficiary, volunteer, or influencer to positively influence donor engagement with visual cues on contact and account records to help donor services staff quickly understand a constituent’s relationship to the organization.
