You will see the error message “Voucher ########. Employee to approve the line is not specified” in the yellow banner near the top of your window.
The root cause is the absence of an assigned 'approved by' employee:
Step 1
Navigate to System Administration > Users > Users. Locate your user and ensure that the 'Person' field is populated and that a legal entity is assigned.
Step 2
If the "Person" field is empty, navigate to Human Resources > Workers > Employees and verify that the employee record is created.
Step 3
Return to Users and link the employee record to the user.
Once the user is linked to an employee record, you’ll be able to post journal entries without encountering the error.
