Tax and Compliance Manager
As a Tax and Compliance Manager you can expect to… Serve as the internal lead for all federal, state, and local tax compliance matters, including income tax, sales and use tax, and other indirect taxes across a multi-entity, multi-state footprintPartner with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all required returns, while maintaining internal accountability for documentation and audit readinessOwn and maintain a comprehensive tax compliance calendar, ensuring internal stakeholders are aligned on deadlines, deliverables, and regulatory obligationsTrack and document tax positions, nexus determinations, and exemption certificates, and ensure proper integration with ERP and tax automation systemsMonitor evolving tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on HSO’s operations, and proactively recommend changes to internal processes or policiesLead internal responses to tax authority inquiries and audits in collaboration with external consultants, ensuring timely and accurate resolutionDevelop and maintain internal tax compliance policies and procedures that scale with HSO’s rapid growth and geographic expansionCollaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure tax considerations are embedded in business decisions, system implementations, and strategic initiativesSupport M&A due diligence, new service launches, and international expansion from a tax compliance perspective.
