Cloud Powers a Healthy Quarter for Microsoft Dynamics Results

The opportunity to access business critical data and gain operational visibility from remote locations make cloud and ERP a perfect match. ERP delivered on hosted platforms increase operational possibilities. This is reflected in growing user adoption, with Microsoft reporting impressive Q2 results for its ERP and CRM brand, Dynamics.

Installer base of Microsoft Dynamics AX grew almost 20% in the period October-December 2015 over the previous quarter. Cloud has been closely attributed to this growth, and is testament to Microsoft’s ‘mobile first, cloud first’ vision.

It is not just Microsoft’s flagship ERP solution that has experienced a fruitful period. Microsoft doubled its Dynamics CRM Online year on year seats for the 5th consecutive quarter as part of the vendor’s cloud focused approach; 3 in 4 new Dynamics CRM customers are now adopting hosted editions.

The Dynamics group as a whole witnessed revenue growth of 11%, with 8.5 million monthly seats worldwide. You can find out more about Microsoft published results for Q2 FY16 here.
