The transition from an on-premise environment to a cloud-based platform brings new questions and challenges in the field of IT security. Good to know: data security is one of the main focuses of Microsoft.

Microsoft invests more than $1 billion annually in security

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a cloud-based platform, which means that your data and applications are hosted and managed in different places and by different parties than in a traditional ‘on-premise’ environment. Is that a disadvantage? On the contrary! Precisely because data centres have to meet strict security and reliability requirements, the security level is much higher than you can provide yourself with an on-premise environment. Microsoft annually invests more than 1 billion dollars in the security of Azure, the Microsoft cloud platform.

Microsoft has more data centre locations than its competitors. In Europe, the company currently has three with their own power supply, cooling and network infrastructure: in Northern Europe (Ireland), Western Europe (Netherlands) and Central France (Paris). Your data is therefore stored in your own region, so that you comply with the new European privacy legislation.

Azure encrypts all data, uses secure networks and offers integrated protection of your Dynamics 365 applications against malware, ransomware and other online threats.

ISO 27001 certification

Good to know: HSO is ISO 27001 certified. This demonstrates that HSO has a clear policy on data and information security. Because of this certification, you as a customer know that your data is safe at HSO.
